Mom On The Go

In Go-to Look, Maternity chic, Outfits on July 30, 2012 at 1:17 am

This weekend it was all about my little girl!

We grabbed our snacks and camera and out the door we went! Where you may ask? To the Chalk The Block event at our local shopping center. Now picture this: Outdoor shops everywhere, kids splashing around the fountains, puppies running through the crowd, candy and sweets at every corner, and of course, free chalk! For the energetic two year old on my hands, this was paradise! And for the pregnant mom with a five month belly, this turned into a desperate call for ultimate comfort!

A pair of jeggings and a loose, flowing top did just the trick! Once I paired it with some comfortable sandals, I was off to the races and ready to keep up with those fast little feet!

Kristie Moore made highlights as spectators learned she is five months pregnant and competing on the Canadian team at the Olympics! That’s right, no typo here. Moore is the third woman in Olympian history to compete while pregnant. Talk about a superwoman! If you’d like to learn more about this amazing woman, go to ABCNews here

A flowy, light-weight blouse is superb for those hot summer days but remember to choose clothes for a body flattering fit. Buying bigger sizes may cover your bump, but it will also cover your body’s sexy new curves. Pair that flowy top with a well-fitting, structured jacket and some leggings for that go-to comfy look. And for a touch of glamour, add a pair of sexy heels to lengthen your silhouette and balance out that baby bump. Now you’re ready to take on the weekend!

Let’s talk comfort!

While expecting, dark denim jeans are just as essential as the Little Black dress. However, you can add a little pizzazz to your maternity style by picking out a pair of chic colored jeans. Make sure to pick comfortable stretchy denim, or my absolute fave: COLORED JEGGINGS. Not only are they very stylish, but are perfectly slimming and comfortable beyond belief. Buy a size or two bigger, and voila! you can look effortlessly chic throughout your whole pregnancy!

… Goes to my wonderful husband for being my #1 fan every step of the way on this new project I’m embarking on. And also, to my beautiful little girl who showers me with kisses and hugs every single day. My life would be incomplete without them.
